A fable for the age of extraction
I am currently querying my debut novel, FREEDOM'S DAY, an adult fantasy which reimagines Slavic folklore as a street-level fable for the age of extraction told over a single, explosive night. It will appeal to readers of Andrea Stewart's THE BONE SHARD DAUGHTER for its magic-as-exploitation themes, Christopher Buehlman's THE BLACKTONGUE THIEF for its sardonic working-class voice, and Scott Lynch's THE LIES OF LOCKE LAMORA for its urban heist threading through aristocratic excess.
I have written screenplays for pitches with Mayhem Pictures and currently work as an Emmy-nominated video director. My personal path from Wisconsin farm to Washington, D.C. mirrors Mariusz's journey between worlds.
